In times like this, it’s hard to get a man off his knees. This film, although it’s been running for almost a year in festivals, its release is a big thing. Controversy surrounded it, giving it a certain advantage. I’d rather say, a huge advantage before people could even say anything about it. I suppose it was kept under embargo for the press. Now I should say I’m shocked. This page has cuties 2020, watch online, cuties 2020 free download, full movie hd
I suppose most people will start a cascade of raving rants against the whole thing. As a filmmaker, I will try to be objective while trying to review this massive film. First of all, don’t worry about spoilers. The big one would be an understatement. What the writers and director achieved here is exactly what we crave for: human stories with soul. This is not Hollywood. This is French cinema. It’s a punch in the face. A completely unexpected story that will make you shiver and cry. A powerful depiction of real motherly love and a harrowing tale of growing up in a world of collisions, explosions, and hard blows. If “400 coups” was an iconic film on a coming of age story, this one ups the ante in a modern and different world. This is a 21st Century coming-of-age story. Not like Thirteen or many other superb films that tackle the same subject. This one grabs your mind and senses from the very start. Its development is quite subtle. But when it opens the door to its soul it’s an unstoppable, nerve-wracking experience. The performance of all these young actresses is remarkable, but that’s something that comes with being a kid. You play. And they do! Mind you, this is the first feature coming from this fantastic director! She’s created a rollercoaster of emotions with beautiful visuals. She captures the essence of Amy, of the environment -radically, today’s Paris XX Arrondissement, the role of religion, family, friendships… Fantastic score and editing. Technically, a perfect film. With a caveat, and I agree with many people who tried to ban the film completely. The caveat is, and this a very controversial one, is the use of close-up cinematography of provocative actions performed by children. The story could have been told without the dance moves. I cannot criticize the rest. It’s strong but true to life.
